Where are all the Canadians?

For sure not sitting on their asses in the liberal government, like the progressive bleeding hearts do. Of course the progressives know the game; "Never pay for these things yourself. Always use other people's money."

A new Russian immigrant arrives in Canada. He goes out on the street in Toronto in late morning and stops the first person he sees. With a big smile he asks in his broken English, "Thank you Mr. Canadian for letting me into this country, giving me free housing, food stamps, and medical care, plus free money to spend and a free education!"

The passerby smiles, "You are mistaken, I not Canadian. I am a Mexican, getting many free things like you."

The Russian goes on and encounters another passerby and says, "Thank you Mr. Canadian for letting me into this country, giving me free housing, food stamps, and medical care, plus free money to spend and a free education!"

The person says, "You are mistaken. I am not Canadian, I'm Vietnamese."

The new Russian arrival walks farther. The next person he sees he stops, shakes his hand, and hesitatingly says,"Thank you Mr. Canadian for letting me into this country, giving me free housing, food stamps, and medical care, plus free money to spend and a free education!"

The person puts up his hand and says, "No, no, no, no, you are mistaken, I am not Canadian. I am from Gaza in the Middle East, blessed by Allah to have come to a country with so many idiots."

The Russian walks on and finally passes a lady and this time simply asks, "Are you a Canadian?"  

She says, "No, I am an African from Kenya."  

Puzzled, he asks her, "I have stopped many people and none are from Canada. I am confused. Where are all the Canadians?"  

The Kenyan looks at her watch and says, "They're probably all at work."
