NOTE On Today's Smart Devices:
"While Alexa was set to NOT listen, (a red LED), we would watch the unit's circular lights turn blue during some days, showing it was connected to the Internet, a blue light indicating the online device is listening via its own operating instructions.
The router was on with computers showing the connection had not been lost, then found again, which might cause Alexa to try to reconnect. But that would give an orange light. The WiFi router, owned by the ISP, is also only a few feet away.
So not trusting today's Silicon Valley "intentions," we simply removed the unit from its power supply, causing it to go dark and not unlike HAL in the movie, 2001. (Remember, Daisy, Daisy?)
Boeing's 747 was built without Alexa technology, so we can figure out how to get along without it, too. Sometimes less is more in this dangerous world of facial surveillance, where in China to buy you only need your face, not a credit card. - Webmaster
