ENCORE From Our Memorial Day Release of 2016 . . .

. . . a time when Barack Obama was president, represented by the progressive socialists of the new Democrat Party.

Why Would A Political Party Want Its Leader, A Sitting President, To Fundamentally Change America And The People With It?

Is it because that party hates the freedom of those it can't control and wants them to either obey, go away or die? I remember a similar story from about 240 years ago. The heroes who met that challenge changed a nation. So then what is to be your challenge?

Do you believe enough in what they did to stand up and protect it? Or do you not? And what of the retired men and women in the video below on this Memorial Day? What do you think would be their answer to a government that controls almost every part of your life today?

Just A Common Soldier

"Author of 'Just A Common Soldier,' Larry Vaincourt, embarked upon his writing career first as a regular columnist for THE LACHUTE WATCHMAN. His columns and poetry were carried for over 20 years as a regular feature in publications across Canada and the U.S., and continue to enjoy success in reprints. "He was getting old and paunchy and his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion, telling stories of the past.
Of a war that he had fought in and the deeds that he had done,
In his exploits with his buddies; they were heroes, every one.

And tho' sometimes, to his neighbors, his tales became a joke,
All his Legion buddies listened, for they knew whereof he spoke.
But we'll hear his tales no longer for old Bill has passed away,
And the world's a little poorer, for a soldier died today.

He will not be mourned by many, just his children and his wife,
For he lived an ordinary and quite uneventful life.
Held a job and raised a family, quietly going his own way,
And the world won't note his passing, though a soldier died today.

When politicians leave this earth, their bodies lie in state,
While thousands note their passing and proclaim that they were great.
Papers tell their whole life stories, from the time that they were young,
But the passing of a soldier goes unnoticed and unsung.

Is the greatest contribution to the welfare of our land
A guy who breaks his promises and cons his fellow man?
Or the ordinary fellow who, in times of war and strife,
Goes off to serve his Country and offers up his life?

A politician's stipend and the style in which he lives
Are sometimes disproportionate to the service that he gives.
While the ordinary soldier, who offered up his all,
Is paid off with a medal and perhaps, a pension small.

It's so easy to forget them for it was so long ago,
That the old Bills of our Country went to battle, but we know
It was not the politicians, with their compromise and ploys,
Who won for us the freedom that our Country now enjoys.

Should you find yourself in danger, with your enemies at hand,
Would you want a politician with his ever-shifting stand?
Or would you prefer a soldier, who has sworn to defend
His home, his kin and Country and would fight until the end?

He was just a common soldier and his ranks are growing thin,
But his presence should remind us we may need his like again.
For when countries are in conflict, then we find the soldier's part
Is to clean up all the troubles that the politicians start.

If we cannot do him honor while he's here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage at the ending of his days.
Perhaps just a simple headline in a paper that would say,
Our Country is in mourning, for a soldier died today."

Let's Take A Quick Walk Down Memory Lane:

ABC, CBS, NBC or CNN might not like you to remember about America's current leadership and its outright disrespect to our vets.

Never forget October 1, 2013, when President Obama and the Democrat Party barricaded the WWII Memorial from visiting vets. But there's more . . .

Veterans storm World War II Memorial in spite of government shut down. Part of the government shut down meant memorials across the nation would be closed. Bus loads of veterans from Iowa and Mississippi had other things in mind when they arrived to the closed World War II Memorial that had been surrounded by barricades in Washington, DC. - YouTube

. . . or that President Obama, while the WWII Memorial was shut down, gave Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats permission to meet on the closed Mall with illegal aliens. Watch.

A rally for illegal immigrants was cleared for the National Mall while the WWII Memorial was still closed. Speaker Nancy Pelosi thanked President Obama for letting the rally go forward, but then lied suggesting the President had cleared the opening of the WWII Memorial, which was still closed.

As any FYI, two lone GOP House members sneaked in, Republican Representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R) and Mario Diaz-Balart (R), who both supported the Dream Act and a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants. - Watch Video: KellyFile / FOXNews, October 9, 2013

. . . or the liberal's October 2010 "One Nation Rally," openly supported by President Obama, Marxist literature left on The Mall while the WWII Memorial was trashed.

What The Hell Is Going On, As Obama Releases Taliban Commanders Into The Field And Rescues A Deserter?

On Memorial Day – Please remember Sgt Derrick Miller who sits this day in Leavenworth for killing a Taliban operative.

"Originally he was seen accompanied by two men whom he claimed to be his sons and helpers. However, both of these men left the perimeter without performing any work, and going separate directions to their village. These men were not present during Sgt. Miller’s questioning. While questioning the insurgent things began to get heated. The Afghan insurgent attempted to grab Sgt. Miller’s weapon, ultimately leading to him being shot and killed in the struggle. The military has since identified the deceased as Atta Mohammed, but his name was not used in court. The two men who escaped were later believed to have been carrying back detailed information to the insurgents with details as to how to most effectively attack." - Gateway Pundit
"As Obama continues to release Islamic terrorists right and left out of Gitmo, he never mentions our Sons who were sentenced to prison in Leavenworth for their defensive actions on the same battlefield." - GatewayPundit

"Bev Perlson, a military mother that has helped to release other soldiers thrown in prison for engaging the enemy, hopes Donald Trump will speak to this issue if he becomes President. Ms. Perlson wrote:

I can tell you Americans out here in the homeland are outraged as the terrorists continue to be released and there is no relief for our Sons. I think Mr. Trump would garner tremendous support if he took a position on this and let the American people know our Sons deserve to go home too." - GatewayPundit

Never forget what the PC Army brass tried to do to retired Lt. Col Allen West before Obama was able to invent the Muslim terrorist protecting term, "Workplace Violence." West's action actually saved American lives in Iraq in 2002. But that didn't matter to these pension holders. - MilitaryCorruption
