"In op-ed for The Washington Post, American Civil Liberties Union's deputy legal director Louise Melling announced that the historic civil rights organization no longer supports the Religious Freedom Restoration Act because Christians can use it as a 'sword to discriminate.'
This reversal flies in the face of the ACLU's stated mission of being the 'nation's guardian of liberty,' ensuring every American citizen's individual rights are protected as outlined in the Constitution. If they were being fully transparent, their mission statement would now read: 'to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone [except for Christians] in this country.'
Melling points to the Hobby Lobby case as an example of why they have decided to yank their support of the federal law they have used so often in the past in their defense of liberty. Also bakeries and other businesses who have used the RFRA to protect from having to provide goods and services to homosexuals if it violates their faith. And lastly, the Catholic church in its care for immigrant minors who may have been raped when what they really need, she says, is immediate access to abortion and contraception.
In the most recent case where they utilized and won using the RFRA, the ACLU defended Iknoor Singh, a Sikh who was told to shave his beard and remove his turban for military service in the Army. They fought and won him the right to follow his religious tradition. "A court in Canada has upheld the denial of accreditation to a Christian law school, holding the private school’s prohibition of homosexual behavior is sufficiently discriminatory that its degrees can be invalidated for that reason alone.
Trinity Western University is a 4,000-student, evangelical Protestant college in the Vancouver suburb of Langley. It has been seeking to open a law school, but has struggled to obtain accreditation in several provinces. This difficulty is not based on the school’s academics, but rather is based on outside objections to the covenant the school makes all students and professors sign. The covenant, among other things, forbids all sex other than that within heterosexual marriage, a rule opponents say discriminates against both sodomites and those who do not believe in marriage.

It’s merely a window through which they will push for other rights, in housing, education, health care, employment and religious practice.
An op-ed in the Nation, a left-of-center magazine, provided a playbook for LGBT rights activists moving forward from last Friday’s 5-4 ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court proclaiming same-sex marriage legal in all 50 states. In that op-ed, LGBT activists were encouraged to take the offensive against any individual or group that does not agree with their worldview.
'Create a specific anti-fascist infrastructure of social media, legal, research and watchdog groups to expose and defeat the right wing culturally and politically,' writes the article’s authors, a trio of LGBT rights activists. 'In sum, the work ahead for queers is to be transformative, not transfixed.'
A perusal of commentary from LGBT leaders shows that marriage was never the end game. The next step will be for activists to fan out throughout the 50 states, with a special focus on those less-friendly states in the Bible Belt and middle America. The article goes on to lament that 29 states have no LGBT rights protection, so that is where they plan to strike first.

5.) The American College Of Pediatricians Called Supreme Court Ruling “A Tragic Day For America’s Children."
"This past Friday the President of the American College of Pediatricians, Dr. Michelle Cretella, ripped the Supreme Court’s decision to force every state in America to allow gay marriage. Dr. Cretella argues that, '[T]his is a tragic day for America’s children. The SCOTUS has just undermined the single greatest pro-child institution in the history of mankind: the natural family. Just as it did in the joint Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton decisions, the SCOTUS has elevated and enshrined the wants of adults over the needs of children.'”
At their website, the College had posted a wealth of information and scientific evidence that same-sex marriage is destructive to children and that children do best in natural families. The American College of Pediatricians had urged the Supreme Court of the United States to consider the well-being of children in the case before them to legalize same-sex marriage. Same-sex marriage deliberately deprives the child of a mother or a father, and is therefore detrimental. 8.) Why Is The Obama Administration Covering Up Extortion 17?
"In a previous article, I pointed out that testimony concerning the downing of SEAL Team Six aboard Extortion 17 revealed that there were seven Afghans on board, who still, to this day, remain unidentified. I followed that up by pointing out that the mission of Extortion 17 was delayed by more than four minutes from its original landing time and thus, it is theorized that these Afghans could have engaged in a Green on Blue attack against Americans.
However, it is the fact that the Afghan bodies were flown back to the states and presumed to be cremated along with US soldiers' bodies. It is with that understanding that I think there is a glaring indication of a cover-up of the downing of Extortion 17 in order to suppress evidence of a Green on Blue attack, a possible trade off with the Taliban for the alleged death of Osama bin Laden.
Consider that in testimony, it was also pointed out that the Afghan government was given eyes on all of America's Special Operations and even technically has the authority to squash those missions, though they have never used it that we know of.
Second, consider that both Vice President Joe Biden and former Central Intelligence Agency Director and former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta revealed that it was the Navy SEALs who allegedly took out Osama bin Laden, and on top of that revealed that it was members of SEAL Team Six involved in the operation. Three months later SEAL Team Six was taken out on Extortion 17 by the Taliban.
Third, the seven Afghans, minus the Afghan interpreter, on board Extortion 17 were not the Afghans listed on the manifest. Those particular Afghans were alive and well. These men have never been identified and the status of their bodies is completely unknown.
However, many of the bodies of the SEALs were apparently cremated following the shoot down. Why? According to Don Brown, a former Navy JAG officer and author of the book Callsign Extortion 17: The Shoot-Down of SEAL Team Six, 'The military claims none of the remains are identifiable.'

At the event, Hillary Clinton blasted the Republicans as the “party of the past”, but it’s really Hillary and the Democratic Party that are showing their age.
Obama recently spared Andrew Jackson, the Democratic Party’s first president, from being cut from the twenty, instead throwing Hamilton on the ten to the social justice wolves. It’s historically appropriate that the party often accused of plantation politics was founded by an actual plantation owner. The Democratic Party acts like it owns black people and its founder literally did own black people.
Like the future utopias of Communism, the agrarian utopias of the American left were built on slavery. Jackson ordered that one of his female slaves receive fifty lashes for being disobedient. He placed an advertisement for a runaway slave offering 'ten dollars extra, for every hundred lashes any person will give him, to the amount of three hundred.' Thomas Jefferson used child slaves as young as ten to manufacture nails. Those children who did not work hard enough were whipped.
Democrats today like to pretend that they were on the 'right side' of the Civil War.
