American Health Care at Work for You

Two patients limp into two different American Medical clinics with the same complaint.   Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement.

The first patient is examined within the hour, x-rayed, and has an appointment booked for surgery the following week.

The second sees the family doctor after waiting a week for an appointment, then has to wait two months to see a specialist. During that visit he gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed until the next scheduled appointment. Finally, surgery is scheduled sometime during the next two months.

So why the different treatment schedules between the two patients?

It's simple. The first is a Golden Retriever, while the second is a senior citizen.
